Our experience in Haiti has shown us that children need a living environment that allows them to experience the blessings of life as a family. The traditional approach to orphanages has been dormitory style quarters with little space for privacy, study, or personal needs.
We have been working with a design firm in Florida on a new concept that will overcome many of these challenges.
The development of our home will include modular living where we can place children in space that meets their needs and age requirements. Each module will include an adult caregiver that will help the children to learn to live and sleep in a much more family style setting - small groups supervised by adults with their individual needs provided for.
